My friends and I had decided to performance on International Day in our school. We decided to dance on a mashup fo 3 hindi songs for a total of 3 minutes. 1 month before International Day we decided to meet up together in the study halls we shared together to come up with a choreography and practice the routine.

Before creating the choreography we searched online on youtube and instagram for inspirations. We got inspirited by other choreographies and came up with ours. The video at the bottom of this post is a clear representation of how we worked collaboratively and developed our dance performance.

We would all meet up every Friday in the auditorium or the dance room in our school to practice our choreography. As we would would practice the dance steps we would also try to transition our places so no one would stay in one place.

After we were done creating the choreography, our next goal was to make sure we all were synchronised. To achieve this goal we practiced in front of the mirror together for a couple of times then we added counts to our moves, this way when we were no longer dancing in front of the mirror anymore we would still be synchronised. Individually we all had to took our own responsibility to make sure that we knew the steps before the performance.

The process of creating a choreography was difficult but a lot of fun as well. It had been a long time that I had performed in front of a crowd so I was nervous yet excited. I developed my skills in dancing along with my friend and am glad we were able to do this in a short period of time.
